Michael R. Clarke, CCEP, NACD.DC is an independent board director and strategic advisor with more than 20 years of executive leadership in ethics, compliance, and risk management across life sciences and healthcare sectors. With a background in corporate, civil, and criminal law—including roles as litigation partner and public defender—he brings deep legal insight to governance, talent strategy, and regulatory oversight. Michael currently serves on the boards of Sumner Global, LLC and BayCare Health System, and as a strategic advisor to DRG, LLC and Aglocell Inc. His nonprofit service includes board roles with the Cornell Law School Alumni Association and Essex County Legal Aid Association. A Cornell Law School graduate and Brown University alumnus, he holds certifications from NACD and as a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional. He is active in organizations that promote ethical leadership, board diversity, and inclusive governance.
